It started with one machine.

Dekoriti began in 1989 in the Ulpiana neighbourhood of Prishtina, with a single woodworking machine and a founder who had decided to turn a passion for making things into a profession.

Our history

From one machine to a European partner.

More than three decades, two generations, and one workshop that never moved more than a few kilometres.

  • 1989

    The founding

Enver Morina laid the cornerstone of Dekoriti in Prishtina with his first woodworking machine. It was a modest beginning that set the direction for everything after.

  • Early years

    Finding the materials

Raw materials, hardware and technical support were scarce. Enver travelled to Slovenia and Croatia for know-how, supply lines and specialist hardware.

  • 1992

    The first commission

Dekoriti furnished an entire coffee shop. It proved what the company could do, and hospitality has been our primary focus ever since.

  • 1999

    The Kosovo Parliament

After the war, Dekoriti made the interior of the first Kosovo Parliament. It remains our greatest privilege, and a contribution to the country’s renewal.

  • 2008

    Out of the garage

Rising demand prompted the move to a purpose-built factory, lifting capacity and production standards beyond what the original workshop could carry.

  • CNC

    A different kind of company

CNC machinery transformed precision and productivity, and opened the door to products that could not have been made before.

  • 2019

Thirty years, and a new line

The thirtieth anniversary was marked by commissioning a new production line, opened at a ceremony attended by the European Union Delegation in Kosovo. Watch →

  • 2011–2026

    Recognition

Don Cafe House published on ArchDaily. BIG SEE Best Interior in 2018, two further awards for Xeni Imperial in 2019, and the BIG SEE Grand Prix for ASH House in 2026.

  • Skills

    The Training Center

Founded beside the factory, in a region dense with woodworking companies but short of skilled people, to close that gap for our workshop and for everyone around us.

  • Energy

    100 kW of solar

A 100 kW installation now powers a significant part of operations, cutting both conventional energy use and the footprint of what we make.

What we do

From boutique hotels to large-scale developments.
